Looking for ceremony decor ideas for your wedding? We’ve collected our favorite wedding ceremony backdrop inspiration from real weddings here at 48 Fields to inspire your ceremony design!
MIX FABRIC & FLORALS FOR ELEGANT CEREMONY DECOR
For their outdoor summer ceremony, Samantha and Kurt chose a gorgeous combination of white fabric and statement florals to adorn our wood arbor. See more from Samantha and Kurt’s Washington Capitals wedding.
Our wood arbor is a popular choice at 48 Fields, and is available to all of our couples for no additional cost as part of our Something Borrowed collection.
While Yulia and Scott’s ceremony also had fabric and florals, the more elaborate design and the addition of color gave their ceremony a completely different feel!
Lindsey and Matthew opted for white and muted greenery for their ceremony decor, perfectly pairing with their neutral wedding day palette. See more photos from this couple’s rustic fall wedding.
FOCUS ON FLORALS
Michelle and Austin brought color and elegance to their spring outdoor ceremony with a moon gate ceremony backdrop dressed in asymmetrical floral arrangements. Pink and white lilies elevated the look and limelight hydrangeas provided pops of bright green. See the full gallery from Michelle and Austin’s romantic pink spring wedding.
This floral ring is also available to all 48 Fields couples as part of our Something Borrowed collection, and is light enough to move from place to place throughout your day, enabling your ceremony decor to appear again in your portraits or at your reception!
CELEBRATE YOUR HERITAGE
Venus and Hussein’s micro wedding featured an ornate carved backdrop framed by curtains that was surrounded by candles and lanterns. Our favorite part about this backdrop was that they chose to keep the barn doors open, so it also served as a beautiful setting for outdoor family portraits. See more from Venus and Hussein’s intimate elopement.
Lindsay is British and Dan is American, so they opted for decor in red, white, and blue to celebrate both countries! They hung red, white, and blue bunting and white curtains from our wood arbor to frame their outdoor fall wedding ceremony.

GO MINIMAL & MODERN
To match their minimal, modern wedding, Becca and Eliel chose a simple and stylish ceremony backdrop of palm fronds hanging from our wood arbor. See the full gallery from their black and white spring wedding.
EMBRACE THE SEASON
Nancy and Tom opted for all-around florals in autumn colors for their fall wedding. See more photos from their upscale picnic micro wedding.
WOW YOUR GUESTS WITH A BIG REVEAL
Lynn and Steve ended their ceremony with a splash. Right as they had their first kiss, an American flag unfurled from within the arbor for a stunning photo op! See more from Lynn and Steve’s all-American summer wedding.
SHARE YOUR FAITH
If you’re having a religious ceremony, consider a backdrop that represents your faith. Alexandra and Scott’s cross, built by Alexandra’s father, had extra significance. See the rest of their rustic elegant winter wedding.
BRING IN SOMETHING SENTIMENTAL
Your ceremony decor could be an opportunity to honor loved ones or incorporate something meaningful. The focal piece of Amanda and Dustin’s backdrop is actually Amanda’s mother’s wedding veil, featured proudly in her honor. See more photos from their classic summer wedding with a mobile bar truck.
We hope this list has helped inspire your ceremony decor! Whether large or tiny, you deserve a beautiful ceremony you can look back on for years to come.
