Elegant Fall Barn Wedding Rachel and Rick

Rachel and Rick’s elegant fall barn wedding in 2019 celebrated the colors of the season, from the burgundy and grey worn by the wedding party to the gorgeous arrangements of fall florals.

GETTING READY & A ROMANTIC FIRST LOOK

The couple dressed in the renovated farm house, which was designed with bright, open getting ready suites with photography in mind. Rachel looked every bit the elegant bride in her ballgown with light, gauzy layers and appliqué, and delicate lace shoes. And Rick’s outfit was perfect for the season, with grey suit, burgundy paisley tie, and shiny claddagh cufflinks. In his pocket, Rick carried a wedding day gift – a personalized monogrammed handkerchief.

Rachel and Rick have a tradition where whenever they exchange cards, they give each other two cards instead of one. One is funny and the other sweet. So at their emotional first look, that’s exactly what they did!

AUTUMNAL OUTDOOR CEREMONY

Their ceremony was outside on our ceremony lawn, framed by a beautiful autumnal floral arch. Seeing each other before the ceremony definitely didn’t dampen the effect when Rachel walked down the aisle, and Rick’s monogrammed handkerchief came in handy when he saw his beautiful bride!

Rachel and her attendants carried bouquets full of texture and featuring the colors of the season, with burgundy, dusty pink and pale golden roses, colorful berries, and moody blue thistle.

BARN RECEPTION

Stunning florals also adorned their reception space in the dairy barn. Rachel and Rick chose to relocate the floral arch to serve as the backdrop for their sweetheart table, and floral centerpieces decorated each guest table.

The evening was filled with toasts, dinner, and dancing beneath the cozy string lights and warm wood ceiling of the barn. And of course, the night would not be complete without dessert! The couple’s tiered cake with white frosting and fruit dusted with sparkling sugar was simple yet beautiful, just right for this understated barn wedding.
