Like many couples, Jen and John had their wedding plans interrupted by the pandemic. They went ahead with their 2020 wedding on a smaller scale, marrying in an intimate ceremony in October. Then, one year later, they were finally able to celebrate with all of their loved ones at an anniversary reception!
The happy couple dressed for the occasion, with John in a classic black suit and striped tie. Jen wore a beaded sheath dress with an art deco vibe, her short hair held back with a sparkly hair piece.
Since they were already married, Jen and John decided to skip the ceremony and go straight to an outdoor cocktail hour, where their guests played yard games and enjoyed charcuterie. We especially loved the festive addition of garland along the deck railing.
Next, they moved into the barn for a reception, where toasts and dancing filled the evening. And we would be remiss not to mention their wedding cake! These Chicago baseball fans had a Cubs-themed cake with a personalized topper in the style of the Wrigley Field sign.
We so enjoyed hosting Jen and John’s long-awaited anniversary reception, and wish them many years of happiness together!
