Melissa and Marc’s Halloween wedding was a master class in not taking yourself too seriously. Throughout their beautiful and emotional day, they sprinkled fun details like Melissa’s sparkly shoes, Halloween candy on the guest tables, and best of all, they invited their guests to wear costumes!
Whimsical details abounded from the beginning of the day to the end. Before the ceremony, the couple got ready in the farm house. Melissa dressed in a romantic, somewhat Grecian wedding dress, with off-the-shoulder sleeves that showed off her tattoo. She paired it with sparkly Keds with ribbon laces, cute and comfortable enough to dance all night. Her hair was styled in a low, loose updo, and on her autumnal bouquet, she carried a tiny sunflower embroidery. Each of Melissa’s bridesmaids also received a floral embroidery to match.
OUTDOOR CEREMONY WITH FALL FOLIAGE
The couple met at their outdoor ceremony surrounded by beautiful fall foliage. Marc looked handsome in his dark grey suit with a black shirt and black bow tie, but the most noteworthy outfits were worn by their guests! Guests showed up as knights, The Mandalorian, and even Sonic the Hedgehog. Before you worry that this sounds too casual for a wedding, don’t fret. Sonic wore a tie for the occasion.
During the ceremony, Melissa and Marc said their vows in front of a moon gate decorated with dusty orange, pink, and white florals. By their side, Melissa’s bridesmaids wore floor-length teal dresses and Marc’s groomsmen wore suits of their choice.
RECEPTION IN THE BARN
After the ceremony, Melissa and Marc took portraits around the property while the moon gate was relocated to the upper level of the dairy barn to frame their sweetheart table. It is clear that they considered every detail of their reception, from the Halloween candy on the guest tables to the sustainable wood cutlery.
They embraced the season in elegant ways, such as the small pumpkins on each table and the wedding cake decorated with seasonal fruit. Once they had finished the traditional dances and cake cutting, the happy couple and their guests danced the night away.
We’re so glad to have hosted Melissa and Marc’s Halloween wedding! We wish them a lifetime of fun and happiness together.
