Na Eun and Jae Won’s Korean-American wedding may have had a small guest list, but their spring micro wedding filled the farm with love, laughter, and music!
The couple wanted their wedding to feel like an elegant dinner party. So they chose a black and white theme with pops of gold, and asked their guests to dress in theme.
GETTING READY
The couple started their day by getting ready in the wedding suites in our farmhouse. Na Eun’s sense of style was clear in her wedding day outfit. She wore an off-the-shoulder white lace wedding gown with a full, A-line skirt and a train and carried a simple bouquet of roses, lilies, and springy greenery. For his part, Jae Won dressed in a classic black tuxedo with a single rose surrounded by tiny flowers pinned to his lapel.
Once they were ready, Na Eun and Jae Won met on the wrap-around porch of the farmhouse for their first look. This sweet encounter brought out the first of many joyful grins and tears of the day. They then embraced the rainy spring weather with a few umbrella portraits in front of the barn.
AN EMOTIONAL CEREMONY
The couple stood in front of a romantic cascade of white flowers as they said their vows in the lower level of the dairy barn. In traditional Korean style, the couple’s mothers wore Korean hanbok in blue and pink. Their parents also participated in the ceremony as an acknowledgement that a marriage joins not just two people, but two families.
Thankfully, the weather cleared in time for the couple to step away for photos in the fields. The rain left behind a dark sky set in dramatic contrast to the lush green fields.
A MUSICAL CELEBRATION
Next came the celebration in the upper level of the dairy barn! After their introduction, Na Eun and Jae Won sang a song in Korean for their guests. This set the tone for an evening of more singing, music, laughter, and emotional speeches.
We always feel lucky to see our couples and their families on one of their best days ever. This Korean-American wedding was extra special for its cultural details, intimate guest list, and the joy radiating from the happy couple. Congratulations, Na Eun and Jae Won! We wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
