This past October, we were glad to host Anna and Noah’s lovely fall wedding with festive and cheerful sunflowers.
GETTING READY FOR THE DAY
The happy couple began the day with their attendants in the farm house. Anna and her bridesmaids wore cute, matching pajama sets for a fun photo op before getting dressed to impress!
Anna then changed into a long-sleeve lace dress with vine appliqués at the shoulders, which looked like it was made just for her late fall wedding. She wore her hair in a braided updo and finished the look with strappy heels and a fingertip-length veil.
Be sure to keep an eye out in the photos for an extra sweet detail. As both her something old and something blue, sewn into the lining of Anna’s dress was a piece of a wedding dress that was worn by several family members, embroidered with each person’s initials.
Anna’s attendants wore a combination of beige for the maids of honor and mix-and-match maroon dresses for bridesmaids. Their sunflower bouquets matched Anna’s, in addition to the couple’s invitation suite.
Meanwhile, Noah and his groomsmen dressed in navy blue suits and maroon ties. Noah wore pumpkin socks as a nod to their Halloween weekend wedding date, as well as a custom tie bar with his initials.
Once they were ready, Anna and Noah met for a first look on the wraparound porch. This is one of our couple’s favorite spots for first look photos, because of the charming Southern backdrop. Anna and Noah’s reactions when they saw each other for the first time are priceless!
The couple then used the time before their ceremony for portraits together, with their adorable dog, and with their wedding party. The candid wedding party photos are some of our favorites from the day!
BRIGHT & AIRY INDOOR CEREMONY
Next came their indoor ceremony in the lower level of the dairy barn. As they entered, guests were invited to sign a small, wooden heart to slot into Anna and Noah’s non-traditional guest book as a memento from the day. The ceremony decor tied in with the sunflower theme, with greenery, sunflowers, and other autumn florals on a wood arbor backdrop.
Both of Anna’s parents walked her down the aisle for the sweet and sentimental ceremony that joined her and Noah in marriage.
At the end of the ceremony, Anna and Noah headed into the fields with their photographer for golden hour portraits before joining their guests at the reception.
RECEPTION IN THE DAIRY BARN
The upper level of the dairy barn was warm and cozy on this fall day, with string lights and warm beige linens setting a welcoming tone for the evening’s festivities. Picture frame place cards guided guests to their seats at banquet tables with greenery runners, vintage-style lanterns, and sage green napkins.
The party began with the traditional first dance, father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance. After a seated dinner, Anna and Noah cut their cake, a lovely three-tiered naked cake with drip icing and sunflowers on top.
After a visit to the photobooth with Noah, Anna changed into sneakers, because it was time to dance! Their guests filled the dance floor holding clear balloons that added a whimsical touch to the evening’s photos.
Noah’s balloon particularly stood out against the night sky during the couple’s grand exit down the barn stairs at the end of the night!
Thank you Anna and Noah for choosing 48 Fields to host your fall wedding with sunflowers. It was a special day for a lovely couple!
