Caroline and Michael wanted a fun wedding with friends and family before a big move across the country. At their modern boho wedding, that’s exactly what they got! This spring wedding had the best of both worlds, with an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, followed by a reception inside the dairy barn.
GETTING READY FOR THE DAY
Upstairs in the farm house, Caroline and her bridesmaids had a festive start to the day with mimosas in matching robes. Caroline got dressed into a gorgeous, off-the-shoulder lace wedding dress. And downstairs, Michael and his groomsmen donned classic black tuxedos.
The couple met in front of the farm house for an emotional first look, then took portraits as a couple before their outdoor ceremony. Their photos include some of our favorite swooping veil shots with Caroline’s cathedral-length veil!
MODERN BOHO OUTDOOR CEREMONY
Caroline and Michael married at an outdoor ceremony on the lawn in front of the dairy barn. Our floral ring (part of our Something Borrowed collection) decorated with white fabric, boho grasses, and florals, set the stage for a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony.
The flowers on the floral ring created an ombre effect from pink to white, which tied in perfectly with the other touches of soft pink throughout the day, from their invitation suite to the bouquets to the bridesmaids’ dresses!
TIME TO CELEBRATE!
Caroline has always loved cotton candy, so having a cotton candy cart was one of the small but important things that she wanted for her wedding day. This was one of many fun options for guests to partake in during their celebrations. The couple also opted to make our yard games available to keep their guests entertained as they snuck away for some beautiful golden hour photos!
Next, the group moved into the dairy barn for dinner and dancing. And Caroline changed her outfit from romantic to modern, wearing a sparkly, beaded white dress!
At the reception, their guests sat at farm house tables decorated with greenery garlands and chiavari chairs. The ceremony backdrop and floral arrangements were repurposed to frame the couple’s sweetheart table. And one of our favorite details has to be the delicious dessert table!
We also loved Caroline and Michael’s alternative to wedding favors. At each guest’s place setting was a sweet thank you card from the couple, thanking them for the part they played in their lives.
After plenty of dancing, the glow stick send-off at the end of the night was the perfect bookend to this modern boho wedding! We loved hosting this day and we wish Caroline and Michael lots of happiness in their new life together in California!
