We love all weddings, but nothing can beat a wedding with alpacas! Tanya and Jamie said “I do” on a beautiful day in early October here at 48 Fields. They chose a modern neutral color palette accented with rich fall florals. But our favorite part was a guest appearance from two very photogenic alpacas!
GETTING READY
Tanya, Jamie, and their attendants got ready in the wedding suites in the farm house. Tanya and her bridesmaids started the day in matching pajama sets. Fun details like this gave a hint of what was to come for this stylish and playful couple.
When it was time to get dressed, Tanya looked gorgeous in her modern ballgown, with its chunky floral appliqué bodice and tiered tulle skirt. Her bridesmaids wore long bridesmaid dresses in a neutral, sandy color, contrasting beautifully with their bouquets of bold fall colors.
Meanwhile, Jamie and his attendants relaxed on the farm house porch before changing into their navy suits and maroon ties. And what groom’s outfit would be complete without special wedding day socks? In keeping with their red and blue color scheme, the guys wore matching American flag-inspired socks.
After a sweet first look between Tanya and her dad, the bride and groom each took photos with their attendants. And we’re glad to see Jamie didn’t have cold feet before the ceremony! We’ve never seen a groom look more relaxed, strolling up the driveway with shades on and beer in hand.
SAYING “I DO”
Tanya and Jamie tied the knot at an outdoor ceremony on this warm and sunny October day. As guests entered, they were invited to contribute to the couple’s polaroid guest book and take a bubble wand for a very special sendoff.
The couple said “I do” in front of a wood arbor with white fabric and fall florals in oranges, pinks, and reds. It was an emotional ceremony, with sweet vows they wrote themselves and a chair reserved for a groomsman who passed away before the wedding.
During the ceremony, the officiant tied a Red Thread of Fate around Tanya and Jamie’s pinky fingers, a romantic Asian tradition symbolizing that they are destined for each other.
The ceremony ended with a whimsical bubble sendoff as the newlyweds walked back up the aisle together!
COCKTAIL HOUR WITH ALPACAS
Next, Tanya, Jamie, and their wedding party met up for portraits with a couple of new members of the crew: two adorable alpacas! Fluffy and photogenic, they fit right in with this fun-loving group.
The alpacas’ next stop was to join Tanya and Jamie’s guests at their outdoor cocktail hour, where they won hearts and posed for photos. Between photos with the alpacas, guests drank beer from custom koozies, played yard games, and socialized in the beautiful weather.
With their guests sufficiently entertained, the happy couple headed to the fields for more portraits on their own.
MODERN BARN RECEPTION
The couple and their guests then went into the dairy barn for the reception, where our boxwood champagne wall welcomed them each with a glass of bubbly.
Guests sat at family-style tables with a modern fall table design. Vibrant fall flowers, fruits, and greenery garlands complemented the simple place setting. And mercury glass candle holders let off a soft glow that made the space feel warm and cozy.
Following an unforgettable entrance and first dance, Tanya and Jamie sat at their sweetheart table bordered by a floral moongate of fall florals. They enjoyed wonderful speeches from their friends, then danced with their parents.
Instead of a large tiered cake, the couple had a small, single-tier cake with fall flowers, and a dessert bar with variety for guests. They cut their cake, then proceeded to the dance floor for the rest of this wonderful evening!
We so enjoyed hosting Tanya and Jamie’s modern fall wedding with alpacas. They, and the alpacas, are welcome back any time!
