Navy & Maroon Fall Micro Wedding with Caps Mascot Sarah and Reed

Sarah and Reed had their navy and maroon wedding on a chilly November day at 48 Fields alongside close family and friends. And included a very special guest!

GETTING READY

Sarah got ready in the renovated farm house in the company of her attendants and her mom. She looked elegant in an ethereal long-sleeve, off-the-shoulder gown from BHLDN, paired with a delicate gold belt and sparkly gold pumps. In addition, she wore a beaded halo in her braided updo as a stylish finishing touch. Once dressed, Sarah unveiled her final look for her bridesmaids and man of honor!

Next, Sarah had a first look with both of her parents on the porch of the farm house before meeting Reed outside for a first look of their own. The couple then took a few portraits together before joining their guests for the ceremony.

OUTDOOR CEREMONY

Sarah and Reed said “I do” in a chilly outdoor ceremony on our paver ceremony patio, with a natural backdrop of fall foliage and a wood arbor decorated with red roses. Sarah’s bridesmaids stood by her side in maroon dresses and her man of honor looked dapper in a maroon suit. Across from them, Reed’s groomsmen completed the picture in navy suits with maroon vests and ties.

Following a joyful ceremony, the party moved into the dairy barn for the reception.

VIRGINIA BARN WEDDING RECEPTION

Below the vaulted wood ceiling, string lights, and chandeliers, Sarah and Reed gathered with their guests to celebrate.

In addition to the traditional dances, dinner, and toasts, Sarah and Reed had a surprise up their sleeve. To “cap” off a fantastic day, their reception ended with a special guest appearance from none other than Slapshot, the mascot for the Washington Capitals!

We are honored that Sarah and Reed chose 48 Fields for their navy and maroon fall micro wedding, and we wish them all the happiness together!
