Izzy and Wyatt’s olive green wedding in November was modern and fun, with unique details like bold, black and white signage and a vinyl record seating chart.
STARTING THE DAY WITH FUN
Izzy and Wyatt started their wedding day in our farm house with their attendants. While they got ready, Izzy wore a high fashion robe with embroidered illusion neckline and bell sleeves. She was accompanied by her bridesmaids, sporting cute olive green pajama sets. The group had a fun photoshoot with heart-shaped sunglasses and their newly-gifted insulated animal-print wine tumblers.
Next, Izzy dressed in her fabulous wedding gown. It has an all-over sheer appearance with bold, chunky floral appliqué and long, sheer sleeves. Our favorite part about this dress is that is has a narrow, column silhouette, with the addition of a full skirt in the back to add volume. Izzy’s bridesmaids looked equally chic in their sleek, floor-length, olive green bridesmaid dresses. In fact, Izzy’s first look with her bridesmaids was one of the cutest moments of the day!
Meanwhile, downstairs, Wyatt and his groomsmen dressed in their dark charcoal grey suits. Wyatt wore a black bow tie, while each of his attendants wore olive green ties to match the bridesmaid dresses.
Izzy and Wyatt met outside surrounded by fall foliage for an emotional first look before the ceremony. This gave the couple a few precious minutes together for portraits and alone time before the festivities of the day began,
AN OLIVE GREEN OUTDOOR CEREMONY
Izzy and Wyatt tied the knot on our outdoor ceremony patio, with a backdrop of autumnal leaves. Their ceremony took place in front of a moon gate covered in white flowers and greenery, complementing their simple, modern color palette. During the ceremony, they included the tradition of unity sand, an alternative to the unity candle where the bride and groom both pour sand into a container to symbolizing the union of two people into one single family. The ceremony was joyful and full of love.
After the ceremony, Izzy and Wyatt took photos with their wedding party before joining their guests in the dairy barn for their reception.
A MODERN BARN RECEPTION
Fun details filled the reception, such as their vinyl record guest book, dessert bar, and the giant marquee letters that illuminated the happy couple’s place at the head table. The modern black and white color palette from their signage carried through in their white linens and black chairs. The guest tables featured white florals and greenery, light grey napkins, and gold accents. The finishing touch on top of each plate was a modern calligraphy place card with white or green ribbon, showing each guest to their seat.
Once the traditional dances, toasts, and dinner were complete, the party moved downstairs, where they danced the night away!
It was such a pleasure to host this wonderful wedding. With beautiful photos like these as inspiration, we expect to see many more olive green weddings in the coming years!
