Min and John are one of many couples who had to reschedule their wedding due to COVID, so we’re thrilled they finally got to have their special day this fall. It was a warm September day when tied the knot at their stylish, pink fall wedding.
The couple got ready in the farm house with their attendants, only steps away from where they would say “I do.” John sported a navy suit with a bow tie, while Min got ready next door. Min dressed in a beautiful, strappy A-line dress with a sheer bodice and beaded appliqué. Her bridesmaids accompanied her in pink, floor-length dresses. And rounding out the wedding party, John’s groomsmen wore blue suits with light pink ties to match.
A FUN TWIST ON THE FIRST LOOK WITH THE WEDDING PARTY
Min and John opted for a fun twist on doing a first look and invited their whole wedding party to take part, which made for very fun photos. Once they were ready, they all met on the porch of the farm house for the big reveal!
The couple and their wedding party then took portraits before the ceremony. They were also joined by a special guest: Min and John’s adorable dog!
INDOOR CEREMONY
Next came the ceremony. Min and John married at an indoor ceremony in the bright and airy lower level of the dairy barn.
It was a beautiful ceremony. First, their mothers entered wearing traditional Korean hanbok. At the front of the room, they lit two candles to represent their two families. Next came John, not one to be shy, strutting down the aisle. Then Min walked in with her father to the sound of applause from their friends and family.
During their joyful ceremony, Min and John used the candles lit by their mothers to light a larger, central candle. This is called a unity candle, because it represents the joining of two families through marriage.
The couple subtly incorporated their pink color scheme into their ceremony decor. Pale pink fabric and flowers in dusty pinks, reds, and whites decorated the ceremony backdrop, perfectly matching the bouquets.
If you look closely as Min and John exit the ceremony, you can even see another nod to their color scheme in the form of pink lemonade!
COCKTAILS & CELEBRATION
After the ceremony, their guests enjoyed a lovely outdoor cocktail hour. In place of a guest book, Min and John invited their guests to sign an illustrated portrait that the couple can hang in their home.
Finally, everyone proceeded to the upper level of the dairy barn for the reception. Beneath the warm wood vaulted ceilings, dinner, dances, emotional toasts, and fun filled the evening.
