5 Fun Alternatives to Sparklers for Your Wedding Sendoff

Looking for a unique way to make a grand exit on your wedding night? We’ve got five great ideas that are fun, photogenic and safe for all ages.

ANYTHING THAT GLOWS

These fiber optic glow wands are one of our favorite ways to send couples off in style. Since they glow in the dark, they have the same fun factor as sparklers but they’re safe for all ages. These wands lit up the smiles of Megan and Brandon at the end of their sunny summer wedding at 48 Fields.

If glow-in-the-dark is your thing, a similar effect can be achieved with glow sticks, and I dare you not to make lightsaber sound effects with these LED foam wands Sarah and Michael gave their guests at their vintage-inspired fall wedding.

RIBBON WANDS

Ribbon wands are a great way to carry your wedding colors through to the very end of the night, and they show up well in photos. Carly and TJ‘s ribbon exit tied a bow around their eclectic and colorful fall wedding.

BUBBLES

Bubbles bring out the kid in all of us. The joy on the faces of kids and adults alike make this one hard to resist. Many people assume bubbles won’t be visible in night photos, but Maria and Michael show us you can get great photos from a nighttime bubble sendoff.

And there was definitely magic in the air at Demi and Nathan‘s sparkling, bubble-filled exit outside the dairy barn at 48 Fields.

For their grand exit photo op, Brittany and Taylor‘s wedding party celebrated them with a gold pom pom sendoff. No matter whose side you’re on, we can all agree this is a team worth rooting for!

FLAGS

Feeling Patriotic? Follow the lead of Holly and Josh who ended their night under the stars with a stars-and-stripes sendoff surrounded by American flags!

Or celebrate your heritage! Katelin and Will’s guests waved Irish flags to send the couple off at the end of their chic emerald green wedding.
