Sarah and Will’s blush and gold Indian-American wedding was a day of family, fun, and most importantly, dancing!
First, the couple got ready in the farm house, followed by an indoor ceremony in the lower level of the dairy barn. For their ceremony backdrop, Sarah and Will chose our wood arbor decorated with white and blush fabric and a lush arrangement of florals.
They both looked radiant, she in a mermaid wedding dress with floral appliqué and beading, and Will matching his attendants in a navy blue suit and blush pink tie. Their ties coordinated with Sarah’s attendants’ floor-length blush bridesmaid dresses.
As their guests arrived for their ceremony, they signed Sarah and Will’s very unique guest book. Rather than a traditional book, they had custom corn hole boards!
Speaking of corn hole, after the ceremony, their guests proceeded to the deck for an outdoor cocktail hour with yard games, while Sarah and Will took photos in the fields around the property.
Next, they rejoined their guests for a festive reception in the upper level of the dairy barn. Rather than best man and maid of honor speeches, Sarah and Will chose to have their parents give the toasts. Sarah’s mom brought down the house with her rendition of NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye”!
After the classic American first dance, father-daughter and mother-son dances, the couple celebrated Sarah’s Indian heritage by changing into traditional Indian attire for portraits and Indian dancing! The highlight of the evening was the couple’s choreographed dance with Sarah’s dad and Will’s mom.
Then their guests got in on the action, filling the dance floor for a night of great music and good times. The reception ended with a bubble send-off for the newly married couple. But the party wasn’t over yet! As a fun wedding gift, Sarah gave Will a pair of shorts with her face on them. Before the night was through, Will changed into his Sarah shorts and took a turn playing the dhol (Indian drum)!
It was our absolute pleasure to host Sarah and Will’s Indian-American wedding this summer, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness together.
