Is your wedding is coming up fast? Are you wondering what to do the week before your wedding and what not to do? Save yourself from stress and mishaps by following our list of things to do the week before your wedding.
1. GET YOUR ENGAGEMENT RING CLEANED
You will have lots of photos taken of your ring on your wedding day, so make sure it shines! Be sure to schedule your pick-up a few days before your wedding to avoid a last-minute scramble.
2. PICK UP YOUR MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE
This is one you don’t want to forget! Check with your county how far in advance you can pick up your certificate, and put it on the schedule so you don’t overlook it. After all, at the end of your wedding day, you want to make sure you’re actually married!
3. PACK A BAG FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY & NIGHT
We all know that last-minute packing can result in forgetting something crucial, so don’t put this off. We recommend starting to set things aside a couple of weeks in advance and making a list of items you’ll need leading up to the big day.
And make sure to check our list of 25 things brides forget on their wedding day so you don’t miss these commonly overlooked items!
4. RECONFIRM ALL OF YOUR VENDORS
You should be in regular communication with your vendors already, but the week before your wedding is the time to confirm everything. If you’re working with trusted vendors recommended by your venue, everything should be fine. However, we have seen couples’ vendors double book or fall through at the last minute, so it’s always best to double check! This is also a good time to confirm timing with your venue and your vendors to make sure everyone is on the same page.
5. GET A MANICURE
The week before your wedding is the perfect time to get your nails done. Even if manicured nails aren’t your norm, your hands will get a lot of attention on your wedding day. You won’t regret having beautiful nails in your wedding photos!
6. GATHER CASH FOR VENDOR TIPS
Most of us don’t keep cash on hand these days. So if you plan to give a cash gratuity to any of your vendors on your wedding day, make sure to gather the cash for tip envelopes a few days in advance. This will enable you to thank your vendors for their hard work without adding stress to your wedding week!
7. RELAX!
Once you’ve crossed your t’s and dotted your i’s, take a load off! Your hard work is done and now is the time to rest up, celebrate, and enjoy!
By taking care of the little things in the days before, we hope this list helps you have even more fun on your wedding day! Also be sure to read our list of 7 Things NOT to Do the Week Before Your Wedding!
