Kate and Sean originally planned their wedding for the end of March 2020. As we know, “stay home for two weeks to stop the spread” became much more, and they decided to reschedule. By the time their boho summer wedding finally arrived nearly a year and a half later, they were soon to become a family of three! During the unpredictable years that we worked with this couple, they were always gracious, kind, and understanding. Kate and Sean are free spirits with hearts of gold, and we’re so glad they finally got to have their big day!
GETTING READY
Kate and Sean prepared for their festivities in the farm house; she in the upstairs suite and he downstairs. Kate got ready with friends and family at her side. She wore a flowy, taupe, sequin and tulle maternity dress and a colorful flower crown. And after a relaxing morning of video games and card games with friends, Sean dressed in a dark grey suit and maroon tie.
AN INDOOR CEREMONY WITH BOHO FLAIR
An indoor ceremony was the perfect choice for the warm August weather, so these two said “I do” in the lower level of the dairy barn. They decorated their ceremony arch with fall flowers and handmade macrame hoops in white, green, and grey for a boho feel.
Following a sweet and heartfelt ceremony, their guests headed outside for cocktail hour, and Kate and Sean took to the fields for portraits.
A RECEPTION IN THE DAIRY BARN
Once the beverages were finished and the photos taken, Kate and Sean rejoined the party in the upper level of the dairy barn. At their barn reception, the boho ceremony arch found new life as a backdrop for the happy couple. Their head table featured more fall florals, and a special green shawl decorated their banquette. They were surrounded by friends and family seated at banquet tables with cream linens, glowing candles and sage and green accents. With their love of Indian food, they went non-traditional and served some of their favorites to their guests for dinner.
Toasts, dancing, good food, and love filled the evening, making for the perfect end to a long-awaited day! Congratulations to Kate and Sean, and we wish your family a lifetime of happiness!
