Sean and Joe said “I do” at their navy and coral wedding on a cool spring day in Northern Virginia. This fun-loving couple filled their wedding with life, dancing, and love.
The two grooms got ready in separate suites in the farm house with their attendants. Both Sean and Joe donned blue suits and coral ties for the occasion. Joe wore a bow tie and Sean a classic necktie. Their respective groomsmen did the same to signify which groom’s wedding party they belonged to. As a final touch, matching socks for each group gave their outfits a touch of whimsy.
Once dressed, Sean and Joe met for a first look on the porch of the farm house. An emotional reunion soon turned to dancing. These two clearly love to dance, and we are so glad they showed that part of their relationship throughout the day!
Sean and Joe then took portraits together and with their wedding party, including three bridesmaids dressed in pink and carrying color-coordinated floral hoops.
A SWEET INDOOR CEREMONY
Sean and Joe’s guests caught their first glimpse of the couple when they walked down the aisle hand in hand for their indoor ceremony. At this sweet ceremony in the lower level of the dairy barn, a floral ring festooned with flowers in shades of white and pink framed the couple.
In place of a traditional guest book, they invited their guests to sign a map print including each of their home states and their new shared home of Virginia.
A FESTIVE BARN RECEPTION
Once the happy couple had officially tied the knot, it was time to celebrate. They and their guests moved upstairs for a reception under the vaulted wood ceilings and string lights in the dairy barn. Guests sat at long, banquet-style tables with deep blue linens and gold, pink, and rainbow accents. At the front of the room, the pink floral ceremony arch found new life as the backdrop for the head table.
When we met Sean and Joe the very first time they toured 48 Fields, they mentioned that they were going to have a competition between them for who could design the best centerpiece, and then that person’s winning design would be used for the wedding. In the end, they decided that taking elements from both of their ideas would be the perfect combination!
Of course, the reception began with a choreographed first dance! And after toasts, dinner, and the traditional mother son dances, Sean, Joe and their guests spent the rest of the evening showing off their moves on the dance floor!
It was our absolute pleasure to host Sean and Joe’s navy and coral wedding. We wish them a lifetime of happiness together.
