Alison and Kevin’s October wedding is one of our favorites to look back on! This couple put so much care into the details of their day, and it shows in the photos. Their red fall wedding incorporated little pops of color that brought a sense of life and fun to the day!
First, the couple got ready for their wedding in our newly renovated farm house, with two separate getting ready suites to accommodate the whole wedding party. Alison wore an A-line wedding dress with off-the-shoulder lace sleeves and Kevin wore a black suit and patterned maroon bow tie. On his wrists, Kevin sported vintage-style skydiver cufflinks. Perhaps a metaphor for taking the ultimate leap?
Once dressed, Alison and Kevin had a sweet first look together for a quiet moment before the ceremony. Then, they tied the knot in an emotional outdoor ceremony on our ceremony lawn, surrounded by family and friends.
A floral ring with flowers in shades of pink and red served as the ceremony altar and Alison carried a beautiful bridal bouquet in dusty green, maroon and pinks, finished off with a long red ribbon.
The wedding party completed their red fall wedding color palette, with bridesmaids in red dresses matching the groomsmen’s red ties. And as a finishing touch, the groomsmen’s outfits included mismatched wildflower boutonnieres that softened the look.
After they said “I do”, Alison and Kevin took advantage of the natural beauty of our property for portraits. We’re so glad our red rose bushes were in bloom for their portraits! We also loved that they brought their floral ring (available to all 48 Fields couples as part of our Something Borrowed collection) into the fields for some stunning photos.
Following a quick photo session with their wedding party, Alison and Kevin joined their guests for a reception in the dairy barn. The space was set with long, family-style tables, each with white linens, mahogany chiavari chairs, and red and gold place settings. Our favorite detail was the small vases with wildflowers that sat on every table, giving the space an elevated country feel.
In keeping with that theme, Alison and Kevin’s guests enjoyed a dinner of barbecue and one of the homiest wedding cakes we’ve ever seen. In fact, their main wedding cake was a tiered bundt cake. And each guest got a mini bundt cake the size of a cupcake for dessert!
The rest of the night was spent in our favorite way – on the dance floor! Lastly, this beautiful wedding ended with a whimsical bubble exit as their guests sent Alison and Kevin off into married life!
