Trying to figure out where to do your first look? 48 Fields has many great locations! Get inspired by these examples from real weddings.
1. FARM HOUSE PORCH
The wraparound porch of our renovated farm house makes a great location for your first look, because it’s right outside our getting ready suites! Convenient and semi-private, this location allows you to avoid walking around the property and running into your guests before your ceremony. Our couples have also used this spot for first looks with other family members, individual portraits, and wedding party photos.
2. THE LAWN
The lawn next to the farm house is the most popular location for first look photos. The lush backdrop and natural light make this a favorite of couples and photographers alike.
3. THE SILO
One of the most unique photo locations at 48 Fields is our silo. This original structure will give your first look photos a unique look and a crisp, white backdrop.
3. THE DRIVEWAY
One unexpectedly beautiful spot on the property is our gravel driveway. It provides great views of the barn, farmhouse, and seasonal foliage, and keeps your dress off the grass on wet days. However, the driveway will be the main thoroughfare for guests as they arrive. So if you choose to have your first look here, be sure to do it before early bird guests start arriving!
4. THE BARN DOORS
Olivia and Keegan wanted to keep with tradition and not see each other before the ceremony. So rather than a first look, they did a “first touch” at the doors of the dairy barn. This adorable photo op will be front and center as your guests arrive, so do this one early unless you want an audience!
5. SIDE OF THE BARN
This is another of our couples’ favorite spots for first looks. Alongside the dairy barn, this location is convenient to the farm house and ceremony locations, and offers a backdrop that looks great in every season.
6. THE OLD BARN
For something a bit more rustic, consider doing your first look by the old barn. Tucked away on the property, this location offers privacy and a different aesthetic than our renovated spaces. Just be sure to stay outside for your safety!
We hope this list helped you find the perfect spot for your first look! For more photo inspiration, check out this list of wedding photo locations at 48 Fields.
