Min and Scott’s modern black and white spring wedding had twice the reasons to celebrate, since their wedding day also included a pregnancy announcement!
GETTING READY
Min began the day with her bridesmaids and her mom in the upper level of the farmhouse. Min’s fun and playful personality shone through from the start. For instance, for hair and makeup, the whole group wore super cute matching green pajamas with a tiger print.
Min’s wedding day look included a low, curly ponytail with loose locks framing her face. This elegant yet low-key style perfectly complemented her modern, low-back lace wedding dress with sheer bodice, and sparkly block heels.
Meanwhile, Scott got ready downstairs with his attendants, dressing in matching black suits, brown shoes, and cream ties.
As soon as they were ready, the couple met for a sweet first look on the porch of the farmhouse. And after a few special moments together, Min and Scott headed to their indoor ceremony in the lower level of the dairy barn.
Many couples have a hard time deciding whether they want to do a first look. If you are planning your own wedding and worried a first look will make your ceremony less emotional, worry not. When you see Min and Scott’s faces as she walked down the aisle, you’ll be convinced that nothing can take away from that moment.
AN EMOTIONAL CEREMONY
For their ceremony, Min and Scott chose a modern, neutral color palette of black, white, cream, and greenery. They said “I do” in front of a wood arbor with sheer white curtains and a single large floral arrangement.
By her side, Min’s attendants wore silky, tea-length cream dresses. These were a fun departure from the trend of floor-length bridesmaid dresses, and also coordinated with the groomsmen’s ties.
It was a beautiful ceremony full of emotion, laughter, and love.
A COCKTAIL HOUR WITH A SURPRISE ANNOUNCEMENT
Following the ceremony, Min and Scott and their guests gathered outside for a cocktail hour complete with a champagne wall. At the beginning of the cocktail hour, Min and Scott surprised their guests with an exciting announcement, sharing the news that they were expecting a baby! They received so much love and support, setting an even more festive tone for the rest of the evening.
Min and Scott then snuck away for some portraits together around the property, including some of the most gorgeous pregnancy announcement photos we’ve ever seen!
A CELEBRATORY BARN RECEPTION
After their photos, the happy couple joined their friends and family again at their festive reception in the upper level of the dairy barn. Guests sat at long, family-style tables with white tablecloths and garlands of greenery. A sweetheart table festooned with flowers awaited Min and Scott, where they heard toasts and enjoyed delicious barbecue. And when it was time for dancing, Min changed into a super fun white jumpsuit with a feathered bodice and danced the night away!
We were thrilled to host Min and Scott’s big day and witness their super fun wedding day pregnancy announcement!
