Having trouble finding wedding favors your guests will love? While favors are no longer the must-have they once were, many couples still like to give their guests a little something to take home with them. To help inspire you, here are some of our favorite wedding favors from real weddings here at 48 Fields in Northern Virginia:
COFFEE
Do you and your partner share a love for coffee? Follow Sydney and Jack‘s lead and gift your guests a bag of your favorite coffee blend. Labels with a hand-stamped appearance add to the charm of this fun favor, even though they are printed (we won’t tell your guests if you don’t!). These bags and many other designs are available on Etsy.
MATCHBOOKS
Jane and Colin left a small book of matches at each guest’s place. This practical gift also doubled as a chic addition to their table decor. If you’re looking for a way to dress up your place settings, a small favor like this might be the way to go.
MUGS
Especially if you are having a fall or winter wedding, consider sending your guests home with a mug. Guests can use their mug for hot beverages during the wedding, then take it home with them. You can either collect vintage mugs for a mismatched look like Allison and Will did, or order custom mugs in the theme of your wedding, like Holly and Josh.
PRETZELS
When in doubt, go for a pun! Meredith and Or offered their guests soft pretzels with stickers that said, “Thanks for helping us tie the knot.” Pretzels also happen to make a great late night snack, so these may not even make it back to the hotel!
MASON JAR GLASSES
Tiffany and John gave their guests mason jar glasses customized for their July 4 anniversary reception. They made the wise choice of keeping the personalization small so that guests will be more likely to keep these around in their cabinet for years to come.
CUSTOM COOKIES
Samantha and Brian offered their guests an extra sweet treat in the form of custom cookies in their wedding colors. Food is an excellent go-to for wedding favors because it won’t become clutter for your guests.
SEED PACKETS
Ana and Connor made these custom sunflower seed packets and placed them on each guest’s table setting. We love the fact that they may visit friends’ gardens in the future and see their wedding day sunflowers growing there!
Quick tip: Placing favors at each seat increases how many guests will see and remember to take them home.
