Katie and Donnie’s burnt orange fall wedding fully embraced the colors of the season and Katie’s red hair, and the photos are simply stunning.
THE FASHION
Katie and Donnie started their wedding day by getting ready in the farm house. Katie looked absolutely beautiful in a strapless, a-line wedding dress with a modern lace bodice and tulle skirt. She wore her red hair braided to one side in a loose, flowing french braid. Within her braid were tiny clusters of gold leaves and pearls to match her organic earrings. These details, as well as her tree tattoo, gave Katie the ethereal beauty of a fairy princess.
By her side, her bridesmaids dressed in floor-length, burnt orange velvet dresses that perfectly complemented the red of Katie’s hair.
Once she was ready, Katie did a first look with her friends in the farm house. This is a fun twist on the traditional first look that we’re seeing more couples embracing, and the photos never disappoint!
Before the ceremony, Katie had one more first look. This one was with family, including special VIPs who couldn’t attend the wedding in person and joined virtually.
Meanwhile, Donnie was getting ready with his own attendants. They donned black suits and burnt orange ties that looked as though they were made just for Katie and Donnie’s color palette.
THE CEREMONY
Despite the cool November weather, Katie and Donnie were able to have an outdoor ceremony on the patio. Katie had such a big smile on her face the whole time, so if she was cold, you would never know it!
Behind them, a floral ring with boho florals in muted orange, maroon, and pink set the stage for a light-hearted and love-filled ceremony.
THE RECEPTION
Following the ceremony and portraits, everyone proceeded to the upper level of the dairy barn for the reception. They carried the color palette through with burnt orange napkins, gold chargers, and boho fall florals. And they repurposed the floral ring from the ceremony to be the backdrop for their sweetheart table.
Toasts, dancing, and cake filled the rest of this festive evening. We so enjoyed hosting Katie and Donnie’s wedding, and we wish this lovely couple a lifetime of happiness!
